John Wharton Shaw was born in Hawthorn, Victoria on 3 February 1897. His parents were Henry Wharton Shaw and Alice Rout.
Marriage
John married Gladys Irene Shaw nee Cross on 21 June 1930 at Holy Trinity Church, Kew, Victoria. They had three daughters and two sons.
Community Contribution
In 1954 John was Treasurer of the Roleystone Progress Association and during the 1950s he was an Office Bearer of Federation of Progress Associations.

Death

Notes
John served in WW2 with AMF in W.A. from 1940 to 1943. In 1943 he enlisted as a volunteer for Defence Corp. He was discharged on 3 August 1944.
