Jeremiah attended St. Patricks boys school in Perth. He was a member of the Irish National Foresters High O'Neill Society Juvenile Branch.
Death
Jeremiah died at the age of 16 on 3 November 1917.

Jeremiah was possibly raised by his grandparents William Joseph Tully and Mary Bohan, due to his mother dying shortly after his birth.
