War Service
On 2 Jun 1942 George enlisted in the Volunteer Defence Corps at Wandering and was allocated to the 12th (Jarrah) VDC Battalion. On 31 Jul 1944 he joined the rest of his unit in the reserve.
Post War
During 1955 George married Irene Zelda Price in Perth.
