George Beales (b. 26 April 1874, d. 25 March 1924) was an early Roleystone resident.
Early Life
Beales was born in Nottingham to parents John Beales and Eliza Aitken Beales (nee Walker) on 26 April 1874.
Marriage
Married Emily Adams of Roleystone on 3 July 1899. Emily was born in Leeds in 1877. George and Emily had three children: George Walker Beales (1902-1983), Thomas Ross Beales (1905-1937) and Philip Bruce Beales (1912-1990). [1]
Arrival in Australia
George Beales came to Australia in 1923 with his family and settled in Roleystone. The Beales' family property (an orchard) was named 'Keithfield', after the street that they formerly lived on in Nottingham, England.
Death
George died only a year after arriving in Roleystone, at the age of 50.
