Battalion Volunteer Defence Corps"''' by Paul de Pierres published in 1993. Listed as being in the Bruce Rock unit, He would have been a member of either the HQ's of "A" Company, or No 1 Platoon which were based here, although his records have him as residing at Korbel, mid way between Merredin and Bruce Rock.
