Pre War
On 19 Jan 1939 Harold married Muriel Eva Patricia Turner (1919-2006) in Southern Cross. They had four children.
War Service
Enlisted in the 10th Light Horse Regiment at Beverley on 6 Jul 1940 and posted to No.4 Troop 'B' Squadron. Harold was called up for full time duty on 18 Dec 1941.
On 10 Aug 1942 he was seen by a Medical Board at Claremont and on 26 Aug 1942 he discharged by Western Command Recruit Reception & General Details Depot "Not occasioned by his own fault"
