Early Life
Marguerite was born in Esperance in 1903 as the daughter of Henry Joseph Jenkins and Sara Jones. She was one of nine children.
Her brother Edward (Ned) Gomer Jenkins also lived in the Kelmscott area for a great deal of his life and ran the BP service station at the junction of Albany Highway and South West Highway in Armadale.
Marriage
Merguerite married Leonard James Burton in 1925 in Esperance. The couple had three children: Peggy, Norman and Merlwyn.
Notes
According to Electoral Rolls, Margeurite and her family lived in Fourth Road, Armadale in 1931. The family later moved to Third Road, Armadale in 1936. It was while the family lived at Third Road that Marguerite passed away.
