General Information
Formed at Woodside in South Australia during November 1941, in July 1942 they moved to Northfield. The hospital next moved to Katherine in September 1943 to relieve the 121st AGH. They also assumed duties for servicing the Hospital train from the 119th AGH. With declining troop numbers in the Northern Territory the hospital was taken overby 74th Camp Hospital in December 1944 and the 101st Australian General Hospital moved to Herne Bay (Riverwood) iin New South Wales. They remained there until the end of the war.
