Dorothy was the main organist at St Mary in the Valley Anglican Church and having a good contralto voice, led the singing. She also belonged to a Bridge Club and won many prizes at the Kelmscott Agricultural Show for her baking. Dorothy served as a District Commissioner of the Girl Guides.
