War Service
Fred enlisted on 15 Sep 1941 at Claremont, and the day after, he was admitted to the Camp Hospital at the Showgrounds with Influenza and Epilepsy. On 19 Sep 1941 he was transferred othe care of the 110th Australian Base Hospital. He was discharged to duty on 26 Sep 1941, but on 30 Sep 1941 he was againa admitted to the 110th Australian Base Hospital, but it appears that he was placed in the Lucknow Private Hospital (Stirling Hway, Claremont) until 6 Oct 1941 when he transferred to Western Command Recruit Reception & General Details Depot to be processed for discharge as medically unfit - not occassioned by own default, on 10 Oct 1941.
