Samuel (aka Samuel August Salter) was born c1849 in Western Australia. His father was Samuel Salter and his mother was Sarah Salter.
Marriage
Samuel was married three times, his first wife was Ellen Emma Buckingham married in 1875 Kelmscott, they had one child Clara Salter born 1876. His second wife was Ellen Elizabeth Salter (nee Gilmore Best) married 1887 in Kelmscott, divorced in 1900. Samuel and Ellen had three children, Minnie born 1888, Burnice Salter born 1890 and died 1890, and Herbert Salter born 1894 died in 1895. Samuel's third wife was Mary Ann Louise Salter (nee Collier), married in 1901 and registered in Perth. Samuel and Mary had one child Talbot Samuel Salter born 1903.
