Pre War
On 14 Feb 1935 Henry had married Ada Eliza Snoxhill (1914 - 1990). Ada died on 26 Feb 1990 in Gosnells, aged 75.
Electoral Roll entries: 1936 - 1937 at Port Hedland, station hand; 1943 at Railway avenue, Armadale, Railway employee.
War Service
On 22 Apr 1942 Henry was mobilised at Armadale but as a Railway employee he could possibly have been in a protected occupation. The first entry in his Army Form B.103 mentions him being enlisted in the Volunteer Defence Corps and allocated to the 2nd (Fremantle) VDC Battalion on 12 Apr 1943. He was discharged on 29 May 1944.
