On 11 Oct 1916 Alfred married Hilda Maude Buckingham (1893 - 1953) in St Mary in the Valley Church, Kelmscott. Hilda died on 15 Jan 1953. They had five children including: Elsia May Martin (1918 - 1993); Alfred Henry Martin (1923 - 1993); and Colin Stanley martin (1933 - 1993).
