Pre War
During 1924 Maurice had married Queenie (?) Bloom. City of Perth rate book for North Perth 1926 - 1931 lists them at 11 Elizabeth street, with Maurice a clerk. In 1936 Queenie has a shop on North Beach Road, with Maurice's name crossed out, the shop having been in his name the year prior. The 1936 Electoral Roll has him at 194 Hay street, Kalgoorlie, an auctioneer; and in 1937 at 374 Egan street, Kalgoorlie.
