Early Life

Born to parents James Alexander Anderson (1872-1947) and mother Blanche Buckingham (1886-1960), Gladys was known by her middle name Eva. She was born in the hospital at the bottom of Ecko Road (then 'Scott Road') in Kelmscott.

Eva had 7 siblings including: Olga Jane Beales (1907-1989), Edna Ethel Anderson (1913-1992), Mavis Hilda Eckermann (1925-2017), Kevin David Anderson (a twin to Mavis), Victor Ross Anderson, Donald James Anderson and Neil Anderson.

Marriage

Eva married Horace Desmond 'Dem' Mutton (1917-1958) about 1944, reportedly the couple snuck away to Guildford to get married, and upon returning to Kelmscott had to contend with some surprised and miffed members of the both families, who then put on a celebration at the Kelmscott Hall so the event was properly acknowledged.

Eva and Dem Mutton had four children: Kenneth Geoffrey, Graeme Lindsay, Roy William (1950-1984) and David Ernest.

Death

Eva died on 6 January 2006 at the age of 88 years in Kelmscott W.A.

Notes

Eva's in-laws, the Mutton family, had previously lived in Casino, NSW, where Dem was born. The family moved to W.A. firstly at Mundijong, but had moved to their River Road orchard in Kelmscott by 1932, when William Henry Mutton had registered a Dodge vehicle with the Perth Traffic Department. -
