Brief History
During November 1943 this unit evolved from the Watercraft Workshop Section of the 1st Troop Workshop Company at Kangaroo Point in Brisbane. Reorganised as the 3rd Watercraft Workshop Section it worked with the 2nd Water Transport Company (Small Craft). In April 1944 thewy became the Brisbane Base Watercraft Workshop with a total of 220 personnel. In May 1945 they moved to Bulimba where they operated until the end of the war.
