Brief History
Raised at Bathurst, NSW in April 1942, with companies aligned to the 2nd, 7th, 8th, 11th, 13th, 20th and 21st Garrison battalions for which they trained reinforcements. Following the October 1942 re-organisation, the battalion moved to Dubbo to join the 1st Infantry Training Brigade. From October 1943 recruit training was centralised at Cowra creating a central pool of reinforcements. In April 1944 the battalion moved to Greta where they concentrated on advanced infantry training. In July 1944 the 32nd Australian Infantry Training Battalion moved to Bathurst and in March 1945 their final move was to Greta where they remained until the war's end.
