Brief History
Formed at Larrakeyah in July 1941 as the 6th Military District Detention Barracks it was moved to Adelaide River prior to February 1942 where in April 1942 it was renamed Northern Terrritory Force Detention Barracks. The unit was relocated to Brocks Creek in May 1942 where in January 1943 it was renamed 13th Australian Detention Barracks. They remained at Brocks Creek until the end of the war.
