Remarks
Assigned to the Pacific - Asian theatre of operations she was involved in landings in Borneo (Tarakan 27 Apr to 5 May 1945 and Brunei Bay (11 to 14 Jun 1945) and the Phillipines (Leyte 5 - 18 Nov 1944 and Luzon (4 - 18 Jan 1945). She was assigned to Occupation and China service in the Far East from late 1945 into 1946.
USS LST 626 was decommissioned on 2 March 1946 and assigned to the US Shipping Control Authority for Japan (SCAJAP), and redesignated Q081. SHer was later transferred on 31 Mar 1952 to the Military Sea Transportation Service (MSTS), and served as USNS T-LST-626 before being removed from service on 1 Jun 1972 and then sold for scrap on 25 May 1973.
