Built to the standard design, her hull was laid down on 29 Jan 1945, launched on 28 Mar 1945, and in Brisbane by August 1945.
On 31 Aug 1945 the Liberty ship struck a mine and was damaged in the South China Sea off Labuan, Malaya. She arrived at Manila, Philippines where she was declared a constructive total loss. One officer was crushed by a lifeboat and killed instantly and several other men were wounded as a result of the explosion caused by the mine. Subsequently sold and scrapped in 1948.
