Eligibility
The MC is granted in recognition of "an act or acts of exemplary gallantry during active operations against the enemy on land
Description
Established 28 Dec 1914. Mounted on a white ribbon with a central purple stripe, it is a silver cross with straight arms, Royal Cypher in centre (obverse). The (reverse) is plain other than the recipients engraved name.
