A prisoner of war is a person, whether combatant or non-combatant, who is held in custody by a belligerent power during or immediately after an armed conflict.

Please note, this list contains prisoners of war from both WWI and WWII, check the page to see which conflict the soldier was held in. Alternatively go to the Ballarat POW Memorial page.
