Brief History
The 29th Australian Field Security Section was formed at Paddington in NSW in July 1942, and operated in the Sydney metro area with a base at Victoria Barracks. In December 1943 the unit moved to Kairi in Queensland to join the HQ 3rd Infantry Division, with a detachment at Barrine. IN January the majority of the unit was at Barrine with a detachment at Kairi until February 1944. In April the unit was sent to Lae in New Guinea, with a detachment at Madang. Relieved in January 1945 they departed for Brisbane where they dealt ith security issues until the end of the war.
