Brief History
The 14th Australian Infantry Specialist Group was raised during November 1942 to provide specialist training nmorta, anti-tank and intelligence work. This later expanded to include carrier work. Renamed in June 1943 to 3rd Australian Infantry Specialist Group, they continued their important training role, moving to the Melville camp in June where they were disbanded in July 1944.
