Known in the RAAF as Avro Trainers, the Avro 643 Cadet was a variation of the earlier Cadet 631. A modified rear fuselage with a raised rear seat. 34 of them were fitted with a rear tailwheel for the RAAF and delivered between November 1935 and February 1939. They remained in service until 1946 after which the remaining ones were sold to private buyers.. .
