Brief History

In June 1942 CCRA 3 Australian Corps' moved to Western Australia after being formed in Victoria to oversight 109th Anti-Tank Regiment and the HQ Anti-aircraft Group (Fremantle). In June they moved to Mt Lawley and over the next year numerous changes to the units they oversighted occurred. In June 1943 they had a full complement of corps artillery based around the Mundijong to Hope Valley area. In April 1944 the HQ unit moved to Guildford, and with the downgrading of 3 Corps in June 1944 the unit was briefly renamed CRA Fremantle Fortress, before being disbanded at Karrakatta in September 1944
