Brief History

This unit was raised at Tocumal in New South Wales during November 1944. Over the next two months they absorbed personnel from 5th Mobile Ammunition Repair Shop who arrived from Adelaide River in the Northern Territory, the 9, 10 and 11 Mobile Ammunition Repair Shops which arrived from Wallangarra in Queensland and the 12th Ammunition Repair Shop from Merauke in Dutch New Guinea. They moved to Wallangarra in Queensland during April 1945 where they worked with the other ammunition depots in Queensland until the end of the war.
