Remarks

Built for Pacific Mail Steamship Company and used on the US west coast to Asia routes, with ownership changes in 1890 (China Steam Ship Co Ltd - mng Harry E Robson, London) and 1897 (Pacific Mail Steamship Co, Honolulu & New York - HAW flag), before being registered to the US flag in 1899, having been charted by the US Government to move troops during the war with Spain in 1898.


In 1915 sold to the Atlantic Transport Company of West Virginia and sold on to the China Mail Steamship Corporation in 1917. Laid up in 1923 and sent to the wreckers two years later, bought by Chiu On Steam Ship Co. Ltd. Hong Kong.
