Brief History

Formed in Perth about October 1941 from the Western Command Provost Company to relieve that unit of the policing function in the Perth base area. They mainly operated out of Swan Barracks, with detachments at Guildford, Mt Lawley, Fremantle and Kalgoorlie with between 6 and 8 Sections as needed.
