Remarks

USS General A. E. Anderson (AP-111) was a troop transport that served with the United States Navy in World War II and the Korean War. First used to convey US troops to French Morocco. Several other cross Atlantic voyages followed to the UK before redeploying to the Pacific. In late 1944 she carried out a return journey from San Pedro California to Bombay via Sydney. Two journeys in 1945 were from San Franciso to Hollandia and Leyte.

In 1946 she made eight trans Atlantic voyages taking US troops home, followed by similar voyages across the Pacific. With the advent of the Korean War, she supported United Nations troops in Korea and japan.
