Brief History
The 21st Field Artillery (Howitzer) Brigade was raised to support the First Division and did so from February 1916 until 23 January 1917, after which it was re-allocated. It comprised:
- 22nd Field Artillery Battery
- 23rd Field Artillery Battery
- 24th Field Artillery Battery
- 116th Field Artillery (Howitzer) Battery
- 21st Brigade Ammunition Column
Seventeen men lost their life while posted to this unit.
