History
For King and Empire. Jarrahdale Roll of Honor Unveiled! Under the auspices of the Jarrahdale Soldiers' Welcome Committee, one of the most successful and brilliant of entertainments took place in the Jarrahdale Hall, when the occasion was taken to unveil the beautiful Honor Roll board which has been erected to the memory of the brave lads who have gone out to do "their bit" for King and country, as the very fine monument suggested by the wording above. [1]
The board was prepared and presented to the committee by Millars' Timber and Trading Company, and Messrs McDonald and Christian carried out the task of placing the board in position, while Mr Cunningham put in his spare time painting the 146 names which appear there, and the committee are deeply grateful to the donors of the board, as well as to the three gentlemen named for their labour of love on the board.
