Brief History
This unit was formed in cairns, north Queensland in June 1943 to cary out research into Malaria and the effectiveness of treatments and control mechanisms. It was attached to 5th Camp Hospital and worked in conjunction with other research and control units in the area. In May 1944 the unit moved to join [[116th Australian General Hospital at Jungara where they continued their research until the end of the war.
