Brief History
Camp Hospital Northam with a capacity of 30 beds was raised in Northam during April 1940 to service the large training camp nearby. In June 1942 a reorganisation of camp hospitals saw the hospital renamed to 38th Australian Camp Hospital. With the continued presence of 118th Australian General Hospital in the Northam townsite led to 38th Australian Camp Hospital being disbanded in January 1944.
