Remarks

One of the large fleet of British India ships used by the British government in several wars to transport troops. Launched and fitted out during the war, so her initial fit out was basic. Post WW2 she was used on the Bombay to Durban (South Africa) run.

Withdrawn from service she was under tow to Kaohsiung in Taiwan when she ran aground near Macao. Refloated, she was towed to Hong Kong where breaking up commenced.
