Pre War
Married Idahlia G Criddle in the Irwin district during 1911.

Post Office Directory for 1914 has him as a guard, at Mingenew
War Service
It appears that in 1917 he attempted to join the AIF, but either did not go through with it, or was rejected on medical grounds. His early death might suggest he had health problems.
However, he is the only likely match for the name on the Mundijong Monument LINGTHORPE.
