Remarks
Built for the Allan Line, and used on the Liverpool to St John, New Brunswick route. On 12 Aug 1912 Corsican collided with an iceberg near Belle Isle but suffered only monor damage.
Taken over as a troop ship in August 1914, and used untill 16 Jul 1917 when she was passed to the management of the Canadian Pacific Line. In Aug 1914 she began trooping voyages between Southampton and Le Havre. In September 1914 she was transferred to trooping to Alexandria and Bombay and various trooping duties.
In 1917 she resumed cross Atlantic voyages. but ownership and name (SS Margrave) had changed before she was wrecked, 21 May 1923, on Cape Freels Rock, Newfoundland in fog. No casualties were suffered.
