General Information
The 112th Australian General Hospital was raised in March 1941 at the Brisbane Exhibition Grounds before being transferred to temporary quarters at 'Yungaba' (previously an immigration hospital) at Kangaroo Point in June. In February 1942 staff and patients moved to a purpose built facility at Greenslopes, begun in 1940 . Renamed in March 1945 as 112th Military Hospital (Brisbane), it absorbed the 4th Hospital Maintenance Platoon during March 1945.
It continued post war as the main Repatriation Hospital for Queensland, until it was sold to Ramsay Health Care who assumed responsibility on 6 Jan 1995.
