Remarks
Built for the Allan Line. For a period she carried large numbers of children to institutional homes in Canada.
Her war service began with the transport of members of the Canadain Expeditionary Force and included a period in 1915 when she was a Prisoner of War accommodation vessel moored at Ryde, Isle of Wright. In 1915 she also made troop carrying voyages to Bombay and Gallipoli, and in 1916 assisted with the relocation of the Australian Imperial Force from Alexandria to Marseilles.
In 1917 the Allan Line was sold to Canadian Pacific, and Tunisian returned to commercial service on the Canadian route. In 1920 she was converted to a cabin/third class configuration, and in 1922 was renamed Marburn. She remained in service until April 1928, and in late 1928 was laid up at Southampton before beeing sent to the breakers.
