General Information

Raised at ENoggera in Queensland during August 1940, they left for the Middle East a month later. On arrival they moved to Gaza Ridge in Palestine, remaining there until they returned to Australia in January 1943. WHile there they formed up the 2/14th Special Hospital in September 1941 for service in Syria.


Back in Australia, in September 1943 they were restructured as the 2/8th Australian General Hospital. (See separate entry for details).
