Brief History

Located at the Sydney Showground in Moore Park, the Camp Hospital Moore Park was raised in June 1940 to operate a 240 bed facility close to the larger enlistment and training camps. In June 1942 as part of the restructure of camp hospitals they became the 12th Australian Camp Hospital' and they then moved to te Sydney Showgrounds in January 1944, continuing to work from there for teh rest of teh war.
