Remarks
In civilian mode she had accommodation for 100 first class passengers, 80 second class, and 1,000 third class passengers. Previously used on the UK - North American routes, in 1915 she was sold to the British Admiralty. Operated by Indian & Peninsular S.N. Co., Bombay. On 21st Jul.1918 she was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine UC.70 while 5 miles off Filey Brig on voyage Middlesbrough to London, with the loss of 36 lives.
