==War Service==
On 22 Mar 1942 Jack enlisted in the Volunteer Defence Corps at Armadale, and was allocated to the [[2nd (Fremantle) VDC Battalion]]. On 8 Sep 1944 he was appointed a Lance Bombardier before being placed on the Reserve on 1 May 1945. His medical rating was B1 due to slight flat feet.

==Post War==
During 1950 Jack married Deidre Blanche Crouch in the Wellington district.
