==Early Life== 
Muriel was born in Dunedin in 1882, as Muriel Alice Newman Waddell.

==Marriage==
Muriel married [[Alfred Gerald Wright Anderson]] in New Zealand in 1915 (registration number 6559). It was Alfred's second marriage.

==Residency in the District== 
According to Electoral Roll information, Muriel's address in 1949 was Ninth Avenue / Fremantle Road, Armadale. Her address in 1954 was Forrest Road, Armadale.

==Notes== 
There are two gravestones memorialising Muriel; one on the North side of the cemetery (which has a plaque solely for her) and another on the South side shared with her husband Alfred Gerald Wright Anderson.
