Remarks
Hull no 2068, a standard EC2-S-C1 type liberty cargo ship. Sailed for Brisbane on is first journey, departing from San Francisco on 10 Sep 1943. From there she spent the rest of 1943, and until 12 Mar 1944 transportng men and stores between AUstralian and New Guinea ports before returning to San Francisco.
In 1947 David F Barry was sold commercially to a Norwegian company ho renamed her Oakland. She was sold again in 1949 retaining her current name , and then again in 1956 when she operated under a Liberian flag. In 1959 she was renamed Kopalnia Bobrek by her new owners the Polish Government, and she continued in service until she was scrapped in 1972
