Early Life

Reginald Grove Sexty was born in Herefordshire in England, in c1886. Reginald's father was Richard Sexty and his mother Ellen Jane Drew.

Marriage

Reginald married twice, his first marriage was to Nellie Davenport in Perth 1914. His second marriage to Nora Kathleen Price and registered at Canning 1965. Reginald has 1 known son, David who was killed in action during WW2. He also had one daughter.

Community Contribution

In 1919 Reginald was a General Secretary for Returned Sailors & Soldiers Association of W.A. He also served on the Armadale Kelmscott Hospital Board. In 1924 he was appointed to Armadale/Kelmscott Roads Board. In 1945 he became a member of Kelmscott Agricultural Society and in 1946 he became a member of Kenwick Golf Club.

Electoral Roll Information

According to the electoral roll in 1925 and 1949 Reginald lived at Bunbury Road Armadale. In 1945 and 1958 he lived at River Road Kelmscott and in 1963 he lived at Flinders Bay Augusta.

Reginald's occupation during 1925 and 1949 was a Bank Inspector. In 1954 and 1958 he was a Farmer and in 1951 retired from Elder Smith & Co. in 1951.

Death

Reginald died at the age of 79 on 9 April 1966.

Notes

Served in WW1 amd was mentioned in despatches in 1917. Reginald returned to WA on 3 December 1917 on board the hospital ship "Beltana". On 19 December 1917 he was appointed Captain of 5th Military District W.A. In 1950 subdivided Canning location 31 Lots 5, 14, 18, 16 and parts of 12, 13, 122 and 123.
