On 13 Dec 1942 he was charged with Conduct to the prejudice of good order and military Discipline for which he was fined 10/- ($1). On 2 Jan 1943 he was transferred to the 8th AASC and later to Transport training units before on 17 Apr 1943 being posted to the 138th Australian General Transport Company where on 1 Jul 1943 he was deemed proficient.
