Pre War

Claude married Gladys Muriel Bright during 1927. Daughter Florence Joan was born during 1932.

War Service

Enlisted as a Private on 26 Apr 1942 in Armadale, he was appointed 2IC of 'A' Company on 2 Sep 1942 at Jarrahdale, and subsequently promoted to Lieutenant on 4 Nov 1942. Claude completed a Company Commanders Course at Harvey between 1 and 22 Aug 1943, and on completion of the course he was appointed 'A' Company Commander of the 12th VDC Battalion. On 5 Oct 1943 he was promoted to Captain.

Claude's Army Number was reallocated to W93460 on 7 Feb 1944. His appointment was terminated on 15 Oct 1945 and he was placed on the Reserve List.

Electoral Roll entries: 1949 - 1954 at Gleneagles, forester; 1958 at First avenue, Kelmscott, forester

Gladys died on 13 Jan 1985, aged 83.
