During early 1940 Albert married Evelyn Mary Thompson (1922 - 2013) in the local area. Electoral Roll entries: 1943 at Fremantle road, Armadale, labourer;
War Service
Signed up in Bunbury on 2 Apr 1941. His last unit before his discharge was the 16th Australian Infantry Training Battalion. However the 1942 enlistment mentions him being a member of the VDC at Swanbourne. discharged 21 May 1945
