Brief History

This unit was formed at Guildford during August 1942, and they moved to Bakers Hill in November, with a Field Stores Section at Goomalling. They moved to Karrakatta in November 1943 before moving to the RAE Training Centre at Kapooka in New South Wales in August 1944.


In October 1944 they were restructured as 25th Australian Mechanical Equipment Park Company, with the surplus men used to form the 3rd Mechanical Equipment Platoon, the 7th Mechanical Equipment Spare Parts Section, and the 8thMechanical Equipment Spare Parts Sction. In December 1944 they moved to Granville in Sydney where they issued mechanical equipment to NSW units until March 1945 after which they worked with 23rd Australian Mechanical Equipment Park Company to receive and issue equipment throughout Australia until the end of hostilities.
